On January 21, 2026, MOHAN Foundation, Ranchi, conducted an organ donation awareness session at Jora Talab, Ranchi, Jharkhand, with the objective of sensitizing aspirants and members of the public about the importance of organ and tissue donation. Although only one individual was present at the venue during the session, the opportunity was effectively utilized to provide focused and meaningful awareness through a personalized one-to-one interaction. Such individual sessions are equally valuable, as they allow for deeper engagement, better understanding, and open communication on a subject that is often surrounded by hesitation and misinformation.
The session was led by Mr. Mukesh Kumar Singh, who explained the basic concepts of organ and tissue donation in a simple and impactful manner. He spoke about the need for organ donation, its life-saving potential, and the role individuals and families can play in giving others a second chance at life. During the discussion, he also addressed common myths and misconceptions associated with organ donation and clarified doubts related to the donation process, eligibility, and the importance of family consent. The participant showed interest in the topic and benefited from the detailed explanation provided. Overall, the session served as a meaningful awareness activity, reinforcing MOHAN Foundation’s ongoing commitment to spreading accurate information and encouraging positive attitudes toward organ donation in the community.
