On April 27, 2026, an eye donation awareness session was conducted at Patangshaha Kutir Hospital, Jawhar, in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation. The objective of the session was to raise awareness about the importance of eye donation and to encourage individuals to pledge their eyes.
Participation in the session included a total of 49 individuals. The session began with an introduction to eye donation and its significance in restoring vision to individuals suffering from corneal blindness. Throughout the session, participants were provided with detailed information about the eye donation process, eligibility criteria, and the importance of timely donation after death. Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were also addressed.
The session was interactive, with participants actively asking questions and sharing their views. They were guided on how to pledge for eye donation and encouraged to spread awareness within their community.
