On April 8, 2026, an eye donation awareness session was conducted at Bhovarpada, Jawhar, in collaboration with Vision Spring. The session was facilitated by Ms. Karina Kadu from MOHAN Foundation for members of the general public with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of eye donation and its role in restoring vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness.
During the session, participants were educated about various aspects of eye donation, including the causes of corneal blindness, eligibility criteria for eye donation, and the procedure involved after death. The session also focused on addressing common myths and misconceptions associated with eye donation to help participants gain accurate and clear understanding of the subject.
The information was presented in a simple and interactive manner, encouraging active participation and discussion among the attendees. A total of 29 participants attended the session and showed keen interest by asking questions and engaging in meaningful discussions, reflecting a positive response from the community.
The awareness session was conducted alongside an eye check-up camp organized by Vision Spring, which helped reach a wider section of the community and strengthened overall awareness regarding eye health and eye donation.
