On the occasion of Organ Donation Day, an awareness program on organ donation was organised at the Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad on 13th August 2021.
All the postgraduates and doctors of Nephrology, Urology, and Neurology departments and nurses participated in the programme. Dr Bhanu Prakash made a presentation on the process of organ donation, grief counselling and highlighted the role of a transplant coordinator. He explained the types of death, and the organs and tissues that can be donated under different circumstances.
