An eye donation awareness session was conducted on January 18, 2026, at Mahavir Garden, Palghar, with the objective of sensitizing local residents about the importance of eye donation and its role in restoring vision.
The session provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, including the process involved and the eligibility criteria. Participants were guided on the steps to be followed at the time of donation and were encouraged to consider pledging as eye donors.
Common myths and misconceptions surrounding eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping to enhance understanding and build confidence among the attendees.
Approximately 95 local residents attended the session, reflecting good community participation. The program proved to be informative and impactful, successfully raising awareness about eye donation and motivating individuals to support this noble cause.
