Awareness Session Conducted at Primary Health Centre Saphale, Palghar

  • An eye donation awareness session was conducted on January 23, 2026, at the Primary Health Centre, Saphale, Palghar, with the objective of educating participants about the importance of eye donation and encouraging them to support this noble cause.

     

    The session provided detailed information on the concept and significance of eye donation, including the process involved, eligibility criteria, and the necessary steps to be followed at the time of donation. Participants were informed about how eye donation can help restore vision for individuals suffering from corneal blindness.

     

    Common myths and misconceptions related to eye donation were addressed and clarified with factual explanations, helping to enhance awareness and understanding among the attendees. The participants were also encouraged to pledge for eye donation and to spread awareness within their communities.

     

    Approximately 12 participants attended the session. Despite the small group size, the program was informative and impactful, successfully raising awareness about eye donation.
