Awareness Program on Organ Donation Organized by MOHAN Foundation at ANM (R) Training Institute, Palace Compound, Agartala, West Tripura

  • On December 26, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, in collaboration with the ANM (R) Training Institute, Palace Compound, Agartala, West Tripura, organized an awareness program on organ donation at the institute.

     

    Ms. Nipa Modak, Program Executive (Tripura), represented MOHAN Foundation during the program.

     

    The session commenced at 11:30 AM in one of the institute’s classrooms. The Principal formally inaugurated the program with a welcome address, emphasizing the need to create awareness on organ donation among healthcare professionals. She appreciated MOHAN Foundation’s continued efforts in promoting the cause and highlighted the importance of equipping future healthcare providers with proper knowledge on the subject.

     

    Following the introduction, Ms. Nipa delivered the awareness session through a PowerPoint presentation. She provided an overview of MOHAN Foundation and its mission, explained the concept and significance of organ donation, and elaborated on the types of donors, along with organs and tissues that can be donated. She also clarified the differences between brain death and coma and spoke about the process of corneal donation. Informational leaflets on organ donation were distributed to all attendees.

     

    The session also focused on addressing and dispelling common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation. A total of 32 participants attended the program.
