On 9th August 2022 Mr. Bulu of MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Kishor Khabragade, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank, Nagpur to set up an organ donation awareness stall at Kurutkar Multi Speciality Hospital, Koradi, Nagpur.
Mr. Bulu Behera introduced MOHAN Foundation and its activities to the audience and discussed a few concepts of organ donations such as - who can donate, its importance, what can be donated. Lastly, he shared information on the ways the audience could get involved and support organ donation. He encouraged and appealed to each one of them to become ambassadors of organ donation.
Questions asked by the audience were as follows:
1) What can be donated after natural death?
2) What is the cost of liver transplant?
3) Is bone marrow transplant done in Nagpur?
4) What is the different between coma and brain death?
Close to 50 visitors visited stall and 10 of them pledged their organs.
