  On 6^th January 2023, Mrs. Praveen Mahajan, Ambassador, MOHAN Foundation and Resource person of HP Red Cross organized awareness talk on Organ Donation for the employees of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Around 35 participants attended the session.

   

  In this talk, she explained the following points: -

  • Organ donation and its need
  • When and how does organ donation take place
  • Organs that can be donated during life and after death
  • The transplant waiting list in India
  • Brain death
  • Difference between brain and coma
  • Contradictions to organ donation
  • Transplant law
  • Role of MOHAN Foundation
  • Organ donation myths and facts

   

  At the end, a participant named Khushboo gave her feedback who have donated 60 percent of her liver to his father in December 2015 and that time she was only 21 years old and now they both are doing fine. Mrs. Praveen Mahajan gave the vote of thanks. All of them took the donor Cards. They would love to share their wish with their families.
