MOHAN Foundation was invited for an awareness program on Organ Donation by Mr. David, HR of Comnet Business Solutions on this Independence Day 15th August 2018. The talk was held in their premises in Teynampet, Chennai at 9 AM. Mr. T. S. Siva Shankar, Helpline Executive conducted the session. Along with Organ Donation the company had organised a blood donation camp through Tamil Nadu Voluntary Health services and an Eye check-up camp through Aswini Eye Clinic.
All blood donors were given a talk on organ donation while they were waiting for their turn. Mr. Siva Shankar took two sessions of 15 members each in a session. He explained the importance of Organ Donation in today’s world.
He explained the organs that can be donated at each stage like living, after cardiac death and brain death. When a question was asked on “What is Brain Death”? Everyone gave an answer as coma. To make that clear Mr. Siva Shankar gave detailed information on the differences between Brain Death and Coma and made the people to understand it clearly.
So after the session everyone registered and got their donor cards and supported the noble cause.
