On 18th july,2016, MOHAN Foundation was invited by the senior field Officer Mr. K.K. Saini, Red Cross – Punjab, Chandigarh to conduct an awareness talk for their first aid and Home nursing Trainers at National Fertilizers Ltd. Guest House (NFL), Nangal . Around 47 Trainers from 11 districts of Punjab participated in the session.
Trainers were given an introduction by Mr. Sudhir Dewan and presentation on Organ Donation and Brain Death by Deepika Arora.
In this talk she explained the following points. Importance and need of Organ Donation
Difference between natural death and brain death
Eye Donation, skin donation and whole body donation
Importance of Donor card
Mission and vision of MOHAN Foundation
Trainers asked following questions:-
How whole body donation is different from organ donation
If I sign the donor card how will MOHAN Foundation know about my death?
In case of body donation whom to contact?
At the end of the session Trainers were asked to carry this message to their respective district programs. We assured the trainers to provide inputs, as and when required.
