On the occasion of actor R. Sarathkumar’s birthday on 20st July 2014, Samathuva Makkal Party, Chennai initiated an awareness programme on Eye Donation & Organ Donation. Mr. Joel, Organising Committee, invited Cadaver Transplant Programme to give an awareness talk on Organ Donation. Mr. Prakash K. Transplant Coordinator was deputed from MOHAN Foundation to speak on the programme. The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Vijayan, Member of Samathuva Makkal Party he explained the importance of event and Mr. Prakash spoke to the members about the Concepts of Organ Donation and displayed some of the posters.

At the end of the programme 40 members pledged by picking up donor cards and supported the noble cause.
