World Kidney Day 2015 observed in Artemis Hospital

  • On March 12, 2015, an awareness drive to mark the ‘World Kidney Day, 2015,’ was organised by Artemis Hospital in association with MOHAN Foundation.

     

    The aim of the initiative was to spread awareness about Chronic Kidney Diseases among general public, primary care physicians, nurses and patients of the hospital. Along with spreading the message of, ‘Kidney Health for All,’ the theme of this year World Kidney Day, general public was also sensitized on organ donation.

     

    The standees were set up at various spots in the hospital and glow sign was put up at the hospital atrium. Special fliers providing basic information about CKD in a simple, easily understood manner were designed.

     

    MOHAN Foundation representative distributed the fliers among the visiting relatives, attendants, patients and doctors. She also introduced the concept of organ donation to the general masses.

     

    Few people picked up donor cards and signed up as organ donors.
