Webinar with Inner Wheel Club, Jaipur East

  On the occasion of Republic Day, MFJCF was invited by Inner Wheel Club, Jaipur to conduct a webinar on organ donation and transplantation for their club members

   

  Inner Wheel Club is an international organization. It is worlds largest women service voluntary organization with the motto of “Service, Friendship & International Understanding). Dr. Sangita Sharan is the President of its Jaipur East division.

   

  Mrs. Sangita Sharan welcomed Dr. Manish Sharma (Consultant SOTTO, Rajasthan)  and Mrs. Renu Uba of MFJCF.The webinar started with a brief Introduction of Dr Manish Sharma from Mrs Renu Uba. Dr. Manish Sharma then conducted the talk. A total of 30 members attended the talk.

   

  Dr. Manish Sharma talked about the following points:

  • What is organ donation and what are the types of donations?
  • Who can be a donor?
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • What organs can be donated after natural and brain death
  • Myths around organ donation
  • Real life stories of an organ donors of Rajasthan
  • Importance of donor card
  • How to pledge for Organ Donation

  Participants were highly motivated after the talk and also raised questions, including the following:

  • Will carrying donor card guarantees that our organs will be donated?
  • Till how many hours after death organs can be donated?
  • Can skin be donated after natural death?

  The participants were satisfied with the answers of Dr. Manish Sharma and 15 members pledged to donate their organs. MFJCF is grateful to Mrs. Sangita Sharan for inviting MFJCF to conduct the talk and Dr. Manish Sharma for his valuable time.
