  On 8^th Oct 2021, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Ms Chitra Chander of Eqkuiaccess Foundation to conduct webinar on Organ Donation for their members and interns as the part of Daanutsav celebration.

  Firstly, Dr Jimmy Gupta introduced herself to the gathering and started asking them that which organs can be donated while living? Most of the participants were aware about kidney transplant and Blood.

  Participants were given an introduction and presentation on organ donation and brain death. In this talk she explained the following points:

  • Organ Donation in India and their requirements 
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Real life stories of an organ transplant being shared with the participants
  • Importance of the Donor card 
  • To pledge their organs they can register at MOHAN Foundation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s mission & vision

  The entire group got motivated and convinced to support the cause of organ donation. About 15 people attended the awareness session. The awareness talk was ended with a vote of thanks by one of the member of the foundation. Dr Jimmy encouraged the members to spread awareness amongst the society about organ donation and also to share their wish with their families. She ended up saying Organ donation promotes a noble human spirit in a society. We thank Ms Chitra Chander of Eqkuiaccess Foundation and their members for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
