Walkathon on World Kidney Day at Malbhat Margao, Goa

  On March 14, 2024, Victor Hospital marked World Kidney Day with a walkathon, flagged off by former Chief Minister Shri Digambar Kamat, the current MLA of the Margao Constituency. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various community representatives, including Rotary Club Sunrise and the MOHAN Foundation.

   

  The walkathon was also attended by Director Varun Albuquerque and consultants from Victor Hospital. Following the walkathon, a public awareness talk by Dr. Raghuram Bhat, a neurologist, on chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its preventive measures was held, and an awareness talk on organ donation was conducted by Mr. Gabriel Pereira from the MOHAN Foundation at the Viva Hotel, Margao.

   

  The walkathon was conducted to raise awareness and promote kidney health care. It started from Victor Hospital at 9 a.m. to Margao Municipality and back.

   

  Mr. Gabriel distributed around 60 frequently asked questions to all the attendees at the awareness talk.
