The NSS wing of Hindustan College of Arts & Science gathered for an education programme organized by Apollo College of Health Sciences on 3rd July 2012 to celebrate their 20th anniversary. As part of the DAAN initiative, “Donate Organs, Donate Life”, MOHAN Foundation was invited to deliver a talk on the concepts of organ and tissue donation. Ms. Veena, Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation made a presentation on organ and tissue donation after screening a short film on the subject. The short film was directed by Mr.Dayal an ex-student of Hindustan College of Arts & Science.
In addition, a blood donation camp was held and 60 students donated their blood. 52 students pledged to donate their organs by taking Donor Cards. They also took additional cards for their family members.
