TCS World 10k Marathon Bengaluru 2024

  • On 28th April 2024, The World TCS 10K Marathon played a pivotal role in not only defining but also shaping the running culture in India for many years. This platform seamlessly and magnificently brings together a diverse spectrum of individuals.

    The 16th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru for the first time is poised to welcome over 30,000 participants.

    The participation breakdown encompasses 12,611 individuals in the Open 10k timed Marathon, 9812 in the 5km Majja run, 6782 in Champions with Disability category and around 4203 Silvers’ Run will congregate at the iconic Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground and take off on a scenic journey that winds past Bengaluru's famous landmarks.

    MOHAN Foundation actively took part in the marathon by registering as a NGO partner and had an attempt to create awareness on the Organ donation to all the participants.

    Thanks to the Ms. Ranjini Shankar, Mr. Suryaprakash and 10 Nursing students from Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Research Institute for raising an awareness on Organ Donation by holding the placards, by distributing the brochures, badges and also encouraged and cheered the runners from the volunteer corridor.

    Mrs. Farzana and Mr Basavaraj, for making their special presence and joined hands for awareness program and cheered the runners with Organ donation slogan “Donate Organs - Save lives”.

    Special thanks for Mr. Anant Acharya an Organ Donation ambassador for MOHAN Foundation and who is also an Organ Recipient.

    He participated in the Majja Run 5km category which is a participative, non-timed category fun run. Runners are encouraged to wear costumes and promote a social cause in this category. He was thrilled to RUN for a cause in a costume. T-shirt from MOHAN foundation with a placard with the promotion of “Organ Donation” message. I matched that with a hot pink dhoti and Mysuru Peta (traditional head gear) of Kannadigas.

    Thanks to Mr. Deepak from bengaluru and Mr. Siddhartha from Chennai for participating in 10k timed run marathon.

    Thanks to Mr. Aryana and Mrs. Satapdi for participating in 5k majja run.

    The collective effort of participants of MOHAN Foundation not only celebrated personal achievements in the marathon but also significantly amplified the message of organ donation advocacy. Their participation served as a powerful demonstration of the Foundation's commitment to fostering a culture of organ donation awareness.  The Foundation expresses gratitude to the ambassadors for their invaluable contributions in advancing the mission of organ donation awareness.
