On August 4, 2024 Global event & Entertainment, MOHAN Foundation and FACTOR Events & Entertainment organized a TAMILNADU 10K RUN at Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School, Besant Nagar for the cause of organ donation. Nearly one thousand runners supported the cause and participated in the run.
The 10k run started at 5:30 AM. The flag off was done by Thiru AMV Prabhakara Raja (MLA Consistency Virugambakkam) & Mrs. Vanaja Krishnamurthy, (Social worker, Vice President of AIWC, New Delhi, Treasurer WIA Chennai and Associate Chairperson of Women Empowerment Community Services). There was a special category for a disabled run as well. The special guests invited for prize distribution were Lion Dr. K. Indira, President of Lions club of Madhavaram Truck Terminal and Mr. Hariharan, Kidney Recipient. He shared few words on the transformation in his life after the transplant.
Mr. Baskar, Mr. Ganesh, Ms. Yamini & Ms. Arshiya Fathima, staff of MOHAN Foundation distributed brochures and donor cards to runners. Some runners came forward to pledge for organ donation. All runners received their medals, certificates and refreshments.
Winners received Momentos and Certificate. The run celebrated life and fitness in a unique way to commemorate National Organ Donation day.
