On 21rd July 2018, Super Specialty Hospital Nagpur, invited to MOHAN Foundation to set an information desk on organ donation. Dr. Madhukar Parchand special duty incharge of Super Specialty Hospital arranged the desk, where Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation displayed information brochures, donor card standees and a banner.
Information given to outpatients:
v Type of death
v What can be donated after Brain Death, after Natural Death and while living
v How and where is waitlist for organ failure patient
v Who can donate organ and value of donor card
v MOHAN Foundation activities
v Information Sources: Helpline number & MOHAN Foundation website
48 patients & relatives visited the stall. After understanding about organ donation, 15 patients & relatives took consent form & 3 patients signed consent form & took the donor cards, other will sign consent form after discussing with their family.
