On 26th February 2019, MOHAN Foundation Imphal conducted an awareness programme on the concepts of organ donation at RDO Nursing College, Lamshang in Imphal, Manipur.
Ms. Roma Devi, Transplant Co-ordinator, MOHAN Foundation delivered the talk which was attended by around 56 students of II and III year BSc Nursing. The session lasted for about 45 minutes.
Ms. Roma explained the concepts of organ donation and its importance. She also explained the procedures followed in hospitals at the time of organ donation.
A few students asked about the process of registering as organ donors, how donations will happen after death and how tissues could be donated.
