  A stall to spread awareness about organ donation and transplantation was put up at the BCN News Channel’s office premises in Tukudoji Nagar, Nagpur on 4^th July 2021. Mr. Sanjay Mire of the channel organized the event and Mr. Bulu Behera, Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation managed the stall. Banners, information brochures, consent forms and donor cards were set up in the stall.

  Mr. Behera used a presentation to explain the following to the stall visitors:

  • What is organ donation and who can donate organs?
  • Brain death and the organ and tissues that can be donated following it
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • What is the process to register as an organ donor?
  • What are the rules and laws of organ donation?
  • Process of eye donation and body donation
  • Importance of donor card
  • Helpline number of the Foundation
  • MOHAN Foundation’s activities
  • Role of ZTCC in organ donation

  Close to 200 people visited the stall and 20 of them signed consent form and received their donor cards. The Foundation is thankful to the channel for the opportunity.
