Self-help Group Members of a Bank learn about Organ Donation

  Mr. Dileep Kumar talking about organ donation in Suryoday Bank, Salem

  On 19^th November 2018, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Pechiyappan, CSR, Suryoday Small Finance Bank to deliver an awareness talk on organ donation. The audience were 38 self-help group members of the Hasthampatty branch of the bank in Salem.  

  Mr Dileep Kumar S from the Foundation began by introducing himself and asking the audience to share what they know about organ donation.

  During his presentation on organ donation, the following points were covered:

  • Transplantation of Human Organs Act
  • How can we save many lives through organ donation?
  • How to register in case of organ requirement
  • Organ donation types and who can be a donor
  • Difference between natural death and brain death
  • Age not being a constraint in organ donation 

  After the question and answer session, the group members and Mr. Pechiyappan thanked Mr. Dileep Kumar S for conducting the programme on organ donation at their bank.
