Dr. Christopher Barry, Advisory Board Member of MOHAN Foundation and Transplant Consultant to the Government of Rajasthan, conducted the second Organ Retrieval Cadaver Lab at Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur on 16th December 2014. Twenty-five Faculty Members and resident doctors attended the lecture and cadaver demonstration of the surgery. The course will continue on a regular basis and members of other deceased donor transplant stakeholder hospitals will be invited so that all interested parties become familiar with the proper conduct of organ recovery surgery, organ preservation and packaging. Dr. Barry envisages the creation of multiple organ recovery teams throughout Rajasthan to maximize the potential for organ sharing.
