MOHAN Foundation was invited by Dr. D. T. Powar, Regional Transport Officer, Geripeth,Nagpur to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license on 26th July 2016.
Mr. Bulu Behera delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained why there is a need for donation, how and when it happens and which organs can be donated. He highlighted the main myths related to organ donation and spoke of the laws and hospitals that have license to do transplantation. He touched upon the activities of MOHAN Foundation and where to get more information on donation and transplantation of organs.
It was a very interactive session. Approximately 33 drivers were presented during the talk. 1 driver took the donor card.
