On 15th August, 2013 a public awareness talk on organ donation was organized for the general public by the Singham Trust and the Lion’s Club, Amjikarai. They invited MOHAN Foundation, Chennai to conduct the session. The Chemmanur Jewelers also helped in organizing the event.
The session was conducted by Ms. Kavitha. S, MOHAN Foundation, Chennai. In her presentation she focused on the following topics: the need for organ donation, who can donate organs, when and what organs and tissues can be donated, about brain death and the about the importance of signing the donor card.
There were 20 participants and every single one of them pledged their organs and promised to carry the donor card with them.
