On an invitation from the Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Pratap Gokuldas, Honorary Director, MOHAN Foundation, Coimbatore made a presentation highlighting the need for organ donation on Friday, 24th August 2012. He was accompanied by his brother Mr. Arun Gokuldas who dealt with the topic of blood donation. Mr. Arun Gokuldas, is a role model as far as blood donation is concerned, having donated blood more than 150 times.
The 45-minute talk was done both in English and Tamil and in conclusion a video on the need for organ donation was exhibited. 15 minutes were set aside for interaction. Donor cards and brochures in English and Tamil were distributed. There were approximately 160 MBA students and four faculty members present. The presentation was well received and the Head of the Department of Management Studies, Dr. Raju and Prof. Arul thanked Mr. Pratap Gokulas and Mr. Arun Gokuldas for enlightening the students on an important subject about which they were totally ignorant.
