On 16th December 2024, Mr. Govind Gurbani, Member, MFJCF, celebrated his wedding anniversary in a unique and meaningful way by spreading awareness about organ and eye donation. The ceremony, dedicated to promoting the cause of organ donation, was held at Kanwar Kanan Park, Bani Park, Jaipur, at 8 AM. It was attended by morning walkers, friends, and yoga enthusiasts.
During the event, Mr. Gurbani delivered an enlightening talk on eye and organ donation. He explained the concept of organ donation and brain death in detail. He highlighted that eyes, skin, and bones can be donated within 7-8 hours after death in cases of natural death. His talk inspired the audience, and more than 105 attendees took a pledge to donate their organs.
This ceremony also served as a tribute to the ongoing efforts to raise awareness about organ donation. Notably, in 2023, an eye donation wall was established in Kanwar Kanan Park by the Eye Bank Society of Rajasthan. This wall, dedicated to humanity, bears the names of donors as a heartfelt tribute to their families.
Mr. Gurbani’s initiative reflects a commendable effort to motivate individuals to contribute to this noble cause, emphasizing the importance of organ donation for saving lives.
