Personal Organ and Whole Body Donation Pledge by Mr. and Mrs. Holani

  • On 12th September, 2025 - MOHAN Foundation was invited, by the family of Mr. Govind Holani, an elderly gentleman and to pledge their organs and whole body after their demise, so Dr.Bhanu Prakash a senior transplant coordinator took this as an opportunity   to visit the residence of Mr. Govind Holani, an elderly gentleman aged 80 years, a retired employee, and his wife at My Vihanga, Gachibowli.

    Their children are currently residing in the United States. During the visit, Dr.Prakash explained in detail the process of organ donation as well as whole body donation, highlighting the importance and impact of such a noble act in saving lives and contributing to medical education and research.

    Both Mr. and Mrs. Holani listened with great interest and expressed their willingness to contribute to this cause. After understanding the procedure, they signed the Donor Cards and the Body Donation Form, thereby officially pledging their organs and body for donation. This reflects their deep commitment to helping others even after life.

    Mr. Holani, who is a close friend of Dr. Ravi Wankhede from Nagpur (MOHAN Foundation), also had a conversation with him over the phone during this process, which further encouraged and strengthened his decision. In the end, both Mr. and Mrs. Holani expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the work being carried out by MOHAN Foundation in creating awareness and facilitating organ and body donation. They conveyed their happiness in being able to associate with such a meaningful initiative.
