  • On 12th September, 2025 - A challenging yet highly successful organ donation awareness program was conducted at Telangana State Model School and Junior College, Arutla, reaching over 450 students and faculty members.

The expansive initiative, spearheaded by Mr. Venkatesh Kattela, Project Manager from the Mohan Foundation, was strategically implemented to reach a broad demographic, including Classes 8 to 10 and Intermediate 1st and 2nd years.

To ensure effective interaction and manage the large group amid ongoing construction activities and limited classroom availability, Mr. Venkatesh Kattela commendably conducted five separate sessions. As per the request of the Principal, these sessions were skillfully scheduled during the students' morning and afternoon leisure periods, thereby guaranteeing minimal disruption to core academic activities.

The comprehensive awareness sessions covered critical and life-saving information, including:

    • The urgent necessity of organ donation in Telangana and India.
    • The detailed medical and legal process of donation.
    • The paramount distinction between brain death and cardiac death.
    • Debunking common myths and addressing cultural misconceptions to promote trust in the cause.

The successful coordination and the high level of engagement concluded the program on a profoundly positive note. Both students and faculty members expressed their encouragement and commitment to the noble cause by collectively pledging to donate their organs. This event is a testament to the dedication of the Principal and faculty in prioritizing this vital social message, demonstrating that commitment to a life-saving cause can overcome infrastructural challenges.
