  • Alimili Village, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh – September 13th, 2025 – The commitment to life-saving charity was affirmed in the community of Alimili village, as the Mohan Foundation successfully conducted a focused organ donation awareness session at Daivakrupa Prayer House.

The session was led by Mr. Venkatesh Kattela, Project Manager from the Mohan Foundation, who delivered an engaging and sensitive talk to over 25 church fellowship members. The primary goal of the session was to directly address religious myths and ensure religious acceptance of organ donation.

Mr. Venkatesh utilized the opportunity to clarify that major faith traditions, including Christianity, universally support organ donation as a noble act of selfless giving and love (Agape). The interactive discussion focused on:

    • Establishing Religious Compatibility: Explaining that donation is an act of charity consistent with core religious doctrines.
    • Myth Busting: Addressing specific concerns related to resurrection, bodily integrity, and spiritual implications.
    • The life-saving impact of organ donation and the critical difference between brain death and cardiac death.
    • The simple, voluntary process of making a pledge.

The intimate setting allowed for a high degree of interaction and personal inquiry, ensuring all doubts were resolved. The program concluded on a high note, with the fellowship members expressing their wholehearted support by pledging to donate their organs. This event is a powerful example of how faith communities can become champions for organ donation by grounding the cause in principles of compassion and service.
