On August 11, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur, was invited by Dr. Purushottam Borkar, Principal, to conduct an orientation session with the MSW 1st Year students of MSSISW College, Nagpur. The session was facilitated by Ms. Veena Wathore and Ms. Neha Sailwar from MOHAN Foundation.
The session began with Ms. Neha Sailwar, who introduced the students to MOHAN Foundation. She provided a detailed overview covering the history, its aims and objectives, administrative structure, client system, and the legal status of the organization. This helped the students gain a foundational understanding of the work and mission of the Foundation.
Following this, Ms. Veena Wathore continued the session, elaborating on the important activities conducted by the organization, its funding patterns, challenges faced, the needs of clients, the role of social workers in the organization and the future plans of the Foundation. To make the session more impactful, Ms. Veena wathore also shared real-life stories of organ transplantation, which helped the students connect theory with practice.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&ans;A, where students raised questions on Min & Max age limits of organ donor. Their queries were addressed in detail, making the visit insightful and educational.

The visit was a meaningful step in helping budding social workers understand the functioning of NGOs and the vital role they play in promoting social change. The session was attended by 60 students.
