On August 6, 2025, MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur conducted an organ donation awareness Session for the employees of South East Central Railway, Nagpur.
The awareness session was facilitated by Ms. Veena Wathore, at MOHAN Foundation, along with Ms. Bhagyahsree and Ms. Neha Sailwar. Ms. Veena Wathore delivered a detailed talk covering key aspects of organ donation and transplantation, including the need for organ donation, myths and misconceptions, legal aspects and the life-saving impact of this noble act.
To make the session more relatable and impactful, a real-life story was shared by Ms. Veena Wathore, which deeply moved the participants. Additionally, Ms. Kamla Santoshi shared her personal experience, further strengthening the message of how organ donation can transform lives.
A Q & A session followed the presentations, where participants actively engaged by asking questions related to the process, family consent and the role of individuals in promoting organ donation. The interaction helped clarify doubts and motivated the participants to take informed decisions.
As a positive outcome of the session, 5 individuals pledged to donate their organs, reflecting their commitment to this noble cause. The session was attended by around 25 participants.
MOHAN Foundation sincerely acknowledges the support of the Personnel Department, South East Central Railway for organizing this session and providing a platform to spread awareness on organ donation. This engagement marked another step forward in building a culture of donation through education and open dialogue.
