Organ donation sessions conducted at Aon Hewitt office, Sector 48, Gurgaon

  • On June 11, 2015, MOHAN Foundation was invited by Aon Hewitt to give a talk on organ donation. Two sessions were held for separate shifts in the conference room of the office located at Unitech Infospace, Sector 48, Gurgaon.

     

    Ms. Gurmeet Kaur (Client Service Manager Exp - Enterprise Market BU) proactively organized the session as part of the ‘Global Service Day’ activity of the annual Global Service Week. The number of employees who turned up and their overwhelming participation was gratifying.

     

    Dr. Muneet Sahi started by screening a short film on brain death followed by audience questions. The audience was genuinely curious and the employees demonstrated sincere yearning to explore the topic.

     

    For example a lady asked if there would be any adverse impact on the health of the donor and a gentleman asked from a spiritual point if the soul remains in the body even when the patient is sustained on the ventilator. The two sessions were conducted in packed venue and was punctuated with humorous anecdotes what with people sharing their stories related to organ donation.

     

    Overall the experience of this session was different from those conducted previously.

     

    In the two sessions, 240 participants attended the interactive session and 160 donor cards were picked up.
