



On May 2, 2013 MOHAN Foundations team sensitized the Rotary Southend members on organ donation at Rotary Habitat Centre, Saket, New Delhi.
Rotary Club is a service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The members of Rotary Clubs are known as Rotarians and they usually meet weekly or monthly, which is a social event as well as an opportunity to organize work on their service goals.
About 15 Rotarians attended the session which was a very lively, brain storming and interactive one. Many queries on brain death/cardiac death, tissue/organ donation, whole body donation, support of a brain dead donor, counselling of the relatives, conversion rate of MOHAN Foundation, success of the deceased donor program in Chennai viz a viz that in Delhi-NCR were addressed.
Post the presentation all the Rotarians signed up the organ donor card.
