On the occasion of 157th Income Tax day, on 21th July 2017, MOHAN Foundation team set up an information stall on organ donation at GST Bhawan in the Income tax office complex at Nungambakkam to. Billroth hospital had organised a medical camp for the staff in which MOHAN Foundation was invited to speak to visitors about Organ Donation.
The program began with solemnity of lighting of lamp followed by inaugural ceremony
Mr. Kale Harilal Naick, IRS, the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax inaugurated the camp and extended greetings to the organizers. Mr. B. Murali Kumar, IRS (Director General of Income Tax –Investigation wing), Mr. Sushil Kumar, IRS and Mr. N. Sankaran, IRS (Chief Commissioner of Income Tax) were the other dignitaries for the day.
The information stall was set for 2 days MOHAN Foundation team members Mrs. Madhu B. Sheth, Ms. Stina B. Manjila, Mr. Paul Immanuel and Mr. R. Jayaparkash Daniel were manning the stall in rotation. Information brochures (English and Tamil) were given to the visitors, nearly 50 people came forward to inquire about organ donation and 33 donor cards were distributed. People came voluntarily and pledged for organ donation.
