MOHAN Foundation was invited by Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur to conduct an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license on 5 May 2017.
Mr. Bulu Behera Transplant Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation, delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the following points:-
It was a very interactive session. 30 drivers were present at the talk. 6 drivers signed consent form and took donor card.
The drivers asked the following questions:-
1) What is time duration for organ donation?
2) If liver & kidney transplant are not possible in same hospital but family want to donate how it possible?
3) Who is head of MOHAN Foundation in Nagpur?
