
MOHAN Foundation Nagpur centre was invited by Mrs.Tanuja Shewde HIV/AIDS project coordinator of IGGMC Head Office, Nagpur for giving the people information about Decease Organ Donation at their office on 3rd June 2014.
Miss.Kanchan Shewde transplant coordinator of the MOHAN Foundation conducted that talk. She explained the concepts of Organ Donation, brain death and transplantation of organs. She highlighted that organs and tissues can be donated after brain death, natural death, live donation and concept of brain death. She explained that after brain death it is impossible to come back his life & if the brain death patient’s family wants to donate organs then they can help several people.
After talk she gave information about MOHAN Foundation activities as well as helpline number and requested the project staff to use them. 19 participants were present in that program, before signing the pledge form they wanted to discuss with their family members.
