On 25th September 2017, MOHAN foundation was invited by Dr. P. T. Humane, the NSS in-charge of Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur, to conduct an organ donation awareness session regarding deceased organ donation and transplantation. Also gracing the occasion were Dr. A. V. Peshwe Principal, Dr. P. W. Ambedkar, Dr. D. B. Jadhad, Dr. P. T. Humne, Dr. Mrs. V. V. Rangari & Mrs. R. R. Kapre, all staff of the college.
Dr. Ravi Wankhede Directo, MOHAN Foundation Nagpur spoke about the importance of deceased organ donation, religious and cultural barriers involved with organ donation & eye donation, concept of Brain death and myths surrounding organ donation .More than 100 students participated in the event and information brochures were distributed.
We thank Dr. P. T. Humne for giving us this opportunity to promote organ donation and all the students for their participation.
