On 17 August 2016, Dr. Murthy of Maharashtra Explosive Corporation Limited (MECL), Seminary Hill, Nagpur invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an on organ donation to the staff of MECL.
Ms. Kanchan Shewde Transplant Coordinator of MOHAN Foundation, Nagpur center was deputed for the event. She gave information on difference between cardiac death and brain death, which organ can be donated after cardiac death and brain death, the importance of eye donation, blood donation & whole body donation, value to wearing a helmet, need for organs, the legal and ethical aspects of organ donation and the process of pledging to organs. She also requested all to use MOHAN Foundation website and helpline number for more information.
