Organ donation awareness session was conducted on 19 March 2015 in the Neighborhood Youth Parliament at Nehuru Yuva Kendra, at Wanadongari, Nagpur. This program was organized especially for girls. Ms. Arpana Rangari invited to MOHAN foundation to give a talk on organ donation. Ms.Kanchan Shewde transplant coordinator of MOHAN Foundation Nagpur gave the talk.
She stressed the importance of understanding Brain death, importance of organ donation & the need to donate organs. She explained the types of death (Cardiac and Brain death). She gave information about MOHAN foundation & its activities & requested the audience to visit the website of MOHAN foundation to know more about the subject. More than 20 participants were present in that talk.
After the talk, Miss. Kanchan Shewde interacted with the girls & staff of NYK during the interaction they raised the queries:
