On 21 March 2017, MOHAN Foundation conducted an awareness session on organ donation for drivers who apply for vehicles registration and driving license. This was done at the invitation by Mr. Sharad Jighkar, Regional Transport Officer, Giripeth, Nagpur.
Mr. Bulu Behera, transplant coordinator of MOHAN Foundation at Nagpur delivered a talk on Organ Donation. In his talk he explained the following points:-
It was a very interactive session. 20 drivers were present at the talk. 5 drivers signed consent form and took donor card.
The drivers asked the following questions:-
1) How many kidney transplant centers in Nagpur?
2) Is there any Government provision for kidney transplant?
3) What is the process for body donation?
