  The 1989 batch of Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), Coimbatore, celebrated their Silver Jubilee on 27^th & 28th of December 2014 at their alma mater. Mr. Kanakaraj of the 1989 batch, invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct an "Organ donation drive” for the members of the batch.

  The event was held on 28^th December 2014 in the auditorium of CIT, Coimbatore where more than 50 old students participated along with their family members. The event started at 11:00 am with screening of Organ Donation Movie in Tamil, followed by a talk by Ms. Kavitha. S, Marketing Coordinator, MOHAN Foundation covering the following points:  

  • Concepts of Brain Death and Organ Donation

  • Live and Cadaver Donation
  • Organs that can be transplanted
  • Myths and facts on Organ Donation
  • Importance of counselors
  • About MOHAN Foundation Activities
  • TNOS
  • Information sources – the website and helpline number

   

  Information brochures were distributed. More 70 people signed as an Organ Donors.
