Organ donation Training at the Tamil Nadu Police In Service Training Centre Chennai (West), Egmore - Day-1

  • On 03.11.2015 ISTC –In Service Training Centre Railway Police invited MOHAN Foundation to conduct session for the Railway police and constables on the Concept of Organ Donation and Role of Investigation Office in Deceased Organ Donation.

    The session started with the expectation of the participants for the day followed by Ms.Sunitha Transplant coordinator explained about the concept of organ donation and Role of Police in Deceased Organ Donation. Mrs. Sujatha Niranjan, Information Systems Manager gave an overview of THO Act and Tamil Nadu GOs on organ donation. Mr. Prakash, Transplant Coordinator explained about the protocol followed in the Government General Hospital in the process of organ donation. Ms. Gieetha explained the poster which highlights on the role of investigation officer in deceased organ donation and also elaborated on a few cases that used newer modes of communication to avoid delay in case coordination.

    Post training analysis was done by conducting MCQs and Vote of thanks was given by Ms.Sunitha for their support and cooperation. Totally 30 police personnel participated in the session.
