On September 03, 2025, the students of Meenakshi College of Nursing organized an organ and tissue donation awareness session at the Kundrathur Government Hospital Primary Health Centre (PHC). The interactive session featured engaging flashcards and skits designed by the students, which effectively conveyed the importance of organ and eye donation.
Representatives from the MOHAN Foundation — Ms. Kavitha and Ms. Sangeetha — joined the program to observe and support the initiative. During the session, Ms. Kavitha addressed several queries from participants, clarifying doubts about organ donation and offering detailed information on eye donation. Ms. Sangeetha guided the pledging process, helping interested individuals understand how to formally pledge their eyes for donation.
A total of 36 participants attended the awareness session, and 3 individuals came forward to pledge their eyes for donation. The MOHAN Foundation expressed its sincere appreciation to Ms. Jebin, Community Teacher, for her valuable coordination and support in making the event a success.
