On August 18, 2024, a comprehensive Mega Blood, Eye, Organ Donation, and Free Pathological Test Camp was held at Shivaji Sabhagruh. The event was organized in collaboration with MOHAN Foundation, Hedgewar and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital Blood Bank, and Madhav Netralaya. The camp received support from RSS Sangh, Fitness 365 Days, and DME, under the guidance of Shri Sanjay Katey, Shantilal Mehta, and Pawn Mundhada.
As part of the camp, Shivaji Nagar Nagrik Mandal Secretary, Mr. Bipin Rathi, invited the MOHAN Foundation to set up an information desk dedicated to organ and body donation. The desk, managed by Mr. Bulu Behera and Ms. Veena Wathore, provided attendees with detailed information on organ and body donation and offered pledge forms for those interested in making a commitment.
The information desk was visited by approximately 300 individuals throughout the day. Out of these, a total of 48 people pledged to donate their organs, demonstrating a significant commitment to supporting this crucial cause. The event successfully raised awareness about organ and body donation, contributing to the broader goal of increasing donor registrations and saving lives.
