On 9th November, 2014 MOHAN Foundation Chandigarh was invited by the residents of Gulmohar Complex on the occasion of the religious Sikh ceremony held in their colony, in which the residents of the colony participated. It was being felt by the residents that, they want to take up this noble cause and want to pledge their organs, on such a pious occasion. Mr.J.k Dhir and Mr. Sandhu invited us on the very occasion and made their whole family pledge their organs. Apart from that, the President of the colony Mr R.K Prashar promised on to support the cause and took 50 donor cards to distribute among the colony.
Out of 150 participants, 30 people, not only pledged their organs and got convinced to support the cause in future and further want to educate more and more people on this. For some of the people, who were present there, this was a very new concept for them and most of them asserted that, “they will be going to support this noble cause in one way or the other”.
