  On 9^th January 2022, MOHAN Foundation in association with Transplants – Help the Poor Foundation was invited for setting up an information desk to give awareness about organ donation at Green City Club House Hall. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Madhuri Bodhankar (Corporator of Shankarpur) and Mr.Sahil Nagpure (International Football Coach) Totally 93 members participated in the session.

  Ms. Prarthana introduced herself and started the event by introducing MOHAN Foundation and its activities.

  Topics discussed in the meeting were as follows:

  1. Concept of organ donation.
  2. Types of death.
     1. Brain death
     2. Circulatory death
  3. Tissue donation
  4. Procedure of bone donation
  5. How eye donation can be done at home.
  6. Donor Card and its importance.
  7. Details of organ donation Helpline No.18001037100 was shared with the participants.

   

  Questions asked after the session:

  • Procedure for skin donation?
  • Process of eye and skin donation?

   

  The session inspired and motivated 40 participants to pledge their organs. We thank Mrs. Jyoti Nagpure (In charge Sister of GMCH Hospital) for inviting us and supporting the cause of Organ Donation.
