


On April 15, 2024, MOHAN Foundation was invited to speak to senior citizens living at the Serene Pushkar, Sholinganallur, Chennai. The session was conducted in their community hall and attended by 23 residents. Ms. Arshiya Fathima of MOHAN Foundation set up the hall with standees and distributed brochures and conducted the event.
Mr. Krishna Swamy (resident), greeted Ms. Arshiya of the MOHAN Foundation. A brief movie underlining the significance of organ donation was shown before the session started. The concept of organ donation and transplantation was explained by Ms. Arshiya Fathima. She covered brain death and the who, what, and when of donation. She also discussed when and how of eye donation and voluntary body donation, A video of a recipient was aired at the conclusion.
6 of them made a commitment to become organ donors after learning about the donor registration process, the organ allocation process. MOHAN Foundation thanks Mr. Krishna Swamy and Ms Sumathi (Nurse of resident) for arrangements.
