Updated on Tuesday, December 30, 2025
  • On December 27, 2025 - The organ donation awareness session held at the Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS), Akulamailaram, was a great success, overcoming several logistical challenges. Despite transportation issues and ongoing construction work at the school, the Principal kindly granted permission and extended full support for conducting the session.

Project Manager Mr. Venkatesh Kattela led the initiative, conducting an engaging, PPT-based awareness session that successfully reached 106 students and faculty members from Classes 6 to 10.

The session provided attendees with a thorough and clear understanding of the life-saving cause by covering all critical aspects of organ donation:

    • The definition and various types of organ donation.
    • The essential distinction between brain death and cardiac arrest.
    • The significance of carrying a donor card.
    • The procedural aspects of the consent process.
    • Common myths and misconceptions surrounding organ donation.
    • The pressing societal need for organ donation.

We are happy to report that the session successfully motivated ten participants to take the pledge to donate their organs, demonstrating a growing commitment to the cause within the community.

Furthermore, the Principal offered great encouragement by appreciating the vital activities of the MOHAN Foundation. This event reinforces the importance of consistent outreach, proving that dedication ensures the message of organ donation reaches every corner of the community.
